Call 111 - When it is less urgent than 999
Useful Resources

All clinics are run on an appointment basis. To obtain an appointment you can either; call us on 01302 349431; come in to surgery or book online (please ask at  reception for more details). We do our best to see you at your appointment time and only in emergency situations will you be kept waiting longer than 30 minutes. In these rare cases we will keep you informed and, if required, make alterrnative arrangements. If you require an appointment with the GP these are booked primarily through on the day bookings.

Appointments with a GP will be booked through our triage system, where a nurse will call you to arrange an appointment after a discussion of your symptoms, as some health problems may be dealt with over the phone, saving you time, or the nurse will arrange the most appropriate appointment with a Clinician that is best suited to help you. This system has proved very successful in previous years and we have improved it by adding an additional prescribing nurse practitioner who will enhance the surgery’s service and provide better care for you.

When the surgery is closed your call will be redirected automatically to the out-of-hours service; just ring our normal number 01302 349431. You can help us by ensuring that separate appointments are made for each family member who needs to see a doctor and by informing us if you require an extended appoint time. Please give the receptionist details regarding your appointment to ensure you receive an appointment with an appropriate Clinician. Each appointment is for one patient with one medical problem only. Please make a separate appointment for each member of your family or if you have more than one medical problem.

Please always inform us if you are unable to attend your appointment as failure to do so wastes both the doctor’s time and valuable appointment spaces. Failure to do this could lead to you being removed from the doctor’s list.

You will not be seen if you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment.

All patients have the right to express a preference of practitioner when booking an appointment; however, this might not be available on the requested day.
