New Phone System
The surgery is very busy especially in the early mornings and straight after lunchtimes. If all our reception staff are already answering calls you will be held in our "queuing system" for a short time.
The new phone system updates you with where you are in the queue. You will be answered as soon as one of our staff is available.
The new phone line gives you the chance to be called back when you reach the front of the queue. This means that you do not have to hold in the queue and await our team to contact you back.
When calling the surgery you will be asked which line you would like:
- Appointments
- Reception
- Prescriptions. We cannot take prescription requests over the phone. A message must be left on the direct line or through the prescription option.
Please be patient when telephoning the surgery. Try to phone later in the day for routine matters.
None routine appointments are booked for the same day so if you need an appointment please call at 8am.
Our new phone system installed in April is helping with the management of incoming telephone calls and getting to speak to you quicker.
Our management team recieve monthly reports on the calls coming through and we can check all telephone calls on the day. Seeing how many patients are calling at specific times in the day as helped us to better manage the incoming calls with staffing the phones with three members of staff at these busy times. This means that your calls will be answered quicker than they have been before.
